Portfolio Manager of Residential Real Estate & Mixed Use
Peter Kaye brings over 32 years of experience in the real estate industry to Harrison Street Asset Management and serves as a member of the firm’s Investment Committees. Peter serves as Partner and Portfolio Manager of Residential Real Estate & Mixed Use, with responsibility for investment strategy, portfolio construction, and fund management.
Prior to HSAM’s formation, Peter spent 24 years at Rockwood Capital, where he held a range of senior leadership roles across the firm. During his tenure, he served on investment committees and the firm’s Management Committee, shaping investment strategy, risk management, and capital allocation. In addition, Peter held positions in asset management, acquisitions and later served as Co-Head of Portfolio Management, with responsibility for portfolio-level decision-making and performance across multiple funds and market cycles.
Prior to joining Rockwood in 2002, Peter worked at SSR Realty Advisors in San Francisco, GE Capital Real Estate, and Clark Construction Group, where he developed a strong foundation in real estate investment, underwriting, and development execution. Peter is a full member of the Urban Land Institute and serves on a Multifamily Council. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Lehigh University and a Master of Business Administration from Boston University. He also serves on the Board of Trustees of the San Domenico School.
