Managing Director, Corporate Accounting
Lauren Tokheim brings over 15 years of experience to Harrison Street Asset Management. As a Managing Director in Corporate Accounting, Lauren oversees the global financial reporting and ensures the integrity of the firm’s books and records in accordance with U.S. GAAP and other applicable regulatory and reporting standards. She leads the consolidation of financial results across the firm’s global platform and partners with senior leadership to deliver timely, decision-useful insights. Lauren is also responsible for maintaining and continuously optimizing the company’s internal control environment, including controls over financial reporting aligned with the COSO framework. In addition, she oversees technical accounting and audit processes, supporting complex transactions, and ensuring consistency and compliance across the organization.
Prior to joining Harrison Street Asset Management, Lauren was an Audit Senior Manager at KPMG LLP in San Francisco, where she served publicly listed clients in a variety of industries. Within her eight-year career at KPMG, she worked two years in the KPMG London office where she primarily served clients in the investment management sector.
Lauren holds a BS in Commerce, Accounting with a minor in International Business from Santa Clara University. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the State of California and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
