Partner, Co-Chief Strategy Officer - Real Estate
David Becker brings more than 26 years of real estate industry experience to Harrison Street Asset Management and serves as Partner and Co-Chief Strategy Officer – Real Estate. He is also a member of the firm’s Operating Committee. In his role, David leads business and real estate investment strategy across the platform, with a focus on expanding HSAM’s capabilities and developing new investment products and initiatives. He continues to oversee the execution of Rockwood’s existing investment vehicles while advancing strategic growth and innovation across real estate and credit.
Prior to joining Rockwood Capital, David was an attorney at Battle Fowler LLP and later at Paul Hastings LLP, where he represented real estate developers, private equity funds, REITs, and corporate clients in joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, fund formations, and securities offerings.
David earned a B.A., cum laude, from Duke University and a J.D. with a concentration in Business Law and Regulation from Cornell Law School.
