Managing Director - Portfolio Accounting & Reporting
Bobby Smith brings over 13 years of experience to Harrison Street Asset Management. As a Managing Director in the Portfolio Accounting & Reporting group, Bobby is responsible for coordinating with joint venture operating partners to obtain and monitor property-level reporting. He also assists with the preparation of quarterly and annual consolidated fund reporting for investors and helps coordinate the annual audit and tax process between operating partners and fund auditors. He works directly with Portfolio Management to discuss fund liquidity, including investor capital calls, distributions, and general fund cash activity.
Prior to joining Harrison Street Asset Management, Bobby was a Senior Associate at Ernst & Young, working in Real Estate Audit, Transaction Advisory, and Risk Advisory. He was responsible for planning and executing audits of financial statements for public and private companies, performing transaction due diligence for both buy- and sell-side targets, and driving process improvements related to the control structures of private companies.
Bobby holds a BS and MS in Accounting from Bradley University. He is also a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Illinois.
