Chicago, IL, August 24, 2026 – Harrison Street Asset Management (“HSAM” or “the firm”), a leading alternative global investment management firm with over $109 billion in assets under management through highly differentiated assets across infrastructure, real estate and credit strategies, today announced the disposition of Stoneybatter Place, a purpose-built student housing community in Dublin, to asset manager Commerz Real, one of the most experienced and largest asset managers in Germany and a renowned asset manager in Europe.
Completed in 2023, Stoneybatter Place comprises 142 beds across fully furnished apartments and offers a range of amenities, including learning and lounge areas, a gym and rooftop terraces. Located west of Dublin city centre, Stoneybatter Place is within walking distance of Technological University Dublin and provides convenient public transportation access to other universities and the city centre.
“Stoneybatter Place reflects our long-standing strategy of investing in purpose-built student accommodations in markets with high demand, but limited supply,” said Paul Bashir, Co-Head – Europe, at Harrison Street Asset Management. “While we continue to hold strong conviction in the student housing sector, increased institutional demand for high assets has created select opportunities for us to return liquidity to our stakeholders and reinvest capital in new assets within the space.”
Global real estate consultancy Savills advised Harrison Street Asset Management on the sale.
Since launching the strategy, Harrison Street Asset Management has invested €2.8 billion in European student housing assets across 62 properties.
