Chicago, IL, September 22, 2026 – Harrison Street Asset Management (“Harrison Street,” or the “firm”), a leading alternative global investment management firm with $110 billion in assets under management across infrastructure, real estate and credit strategies, announced the expansion of its healthcare real estate asset management platform. The firm welcomes Jon Glass and two additional experienced senior housing asset management professionals, further strengthening the firm’s capabilities in developing, refinancing, selling, and driving value-add initiatives across its senior housing portfolio. Harrison Street is the largest private owner of senior housing in the US, consistently ranked among the top five largest senior housing owners nationally, and has invested $16 billion across 46,000 units in the sector since inception.
Mr. Glass, Senior Associate Michael Corsini, and Senior Associate Hardie Jackson all join Harrison Street from PGIM Real Estate, reflecting the firm’s continued investment in expanding its asset management capabilities and supporting the continued growth and sophistication of its industry-leading senior housing platform. An early mover in the sector, Harrison Street continues to lead across alternative real assets, spanning student housing, data centers, self-storage, and social infrastructure.
In his role as Managing Director, Mr. Glass will help lead asset management activities across a portfolio of Harrison Street’s senior housing investments, overseeing strategy, driving asset performance, and leading value creation initiatives. He will manage relationships with operating partners and third-party property managers to guide property-level business plans and capital improvements, and dispositions, while working closely with the firm’s transactions team to support the continued growth of Harrison Street’s senior housing platform. Brandon Metzler, Managing Director and Head of Senior Housing Asset Management, will continue to lead the newly expanded team, working alongside Jon Glass to further strengthen the firm’s capabilities and leadership in the sector.
Over the past eight years, Mr. Glass served as Executive Director, Head of Senior Housing Asset Management at PGIM, where he led asset management and strategic direction for their senior housing portfolio.
“The additions of Jon, Michael, and Hardie reflect our continued commitment to investing in exceptional talent as we expand our senior housing platform,” said Ben Mohns, Global Head of Asset Management – Real Estate at Harrison Street. “They bring an exceptional track record of managing institutional-quality senior housing portfolios and will further strengthen our asset management capabilities at a time when the sector is benefiting from compelling demographic tailwinds and growing investor interest.”
With the recent additions, the Harrison Street asset management team has grown to nearly 70 professionals across North America. The expanded healthcare team builds on the firm’s recent senior housing momentum. In July, Harrison Street announced it had closed or was in the process of closing 10 new development projects totaling more than $1.2 billion over the prior 18 months. The firm has also been active in senior housing disposition this year, building on its long-term track record of completing more than $7.3 billion in senior housing sales across 190 properties since inception. Looking ahead, the expanded team will be instrumental in supporting Harrison Street’s portfolio and pipeline of additional senior housing developments, as the growing 80-plus population is expected to continue to drive demand for premium-quality senior housing.
