Mr. Humphrey will work closely with Injong Kim, who also serves as Co-Head of Asia – Investor Solutions Group. Concurrently, James Choi, formerly Head of Asia in the Investor Solutions Group, has been elevated to take on broader responsibilities across the firm, reflecting HSAM’s continued investment in its global leadership team and the expansion of its Investor Solutions Group following the global platform integration.

Mr. Humphrey joins HSAM from StepStone Group, where he served as Managing Director and Head of Asia. During his tenure, he led a broad range of initiatives spanning fundraising, research, fund investments, secondaries and co-investments across the region. Prior to StepStone, Mr. Humphrey held leadership positions at Courtland Partners and has spent more than two decades working with institutional investors globally.

“Michael’s extensive experience, deep relationships and understanding of the Asian institutional landscape make him an outstanding addition to our team. Under his and Injong’s leadership, our Investor Solutions Group is well positioned to serve our substantial and growing institutional investor client base across the region,” said Mr. Regnery. “As we continue to expand our presence in Asia, including through the opening of our Singapore office, maintaining on-the-ground expertise remains essential to delivering the highest level of service to our clients.”

“Harrison Street Asset Management has built a strong reputation among institutional investors globally through the firm’s differentiated set of real asset investment strategies, leadership across alternative property sectors, and disciplined approach to investing,” said Mr. Humphrey. “I look forward to partnering with Injong and the broader Investor Solutions team to further strengthen the firm’s relationships across Asia and support its continued growth in the region.”
