Advancing Health & Well-Being

Harrison Street earned Fitwel’s 2025 Best in Building Health Awards, including the Highest Scoring Project (Built & Design). This recognition extends our six-year track record of excellence and includes two additional top honors: the Fitwel Excellence Award for Most Certifications, All-Time, and for the Greatest Number of Registered Projects. These awards underscore our continued leadership in advancing healthy building practices and our deep commitment to promoting occupant well-being across our portfolio.

The Best in Building Health awards were awarded by the Center for Active Design (CfAD). The awards and recognitions reviewed in 2025 are for calendar year 2024. Harrison Street did not pay any compensation in exchange for the aforementioned awards and recognitions, but certification and registration fees are assessed for projects seeking a Fitwel score/certification. Quantifying the Impact of ESG Initiatives

Since 2014, we have completed hundreds of projects, including lighting and water efficiency enhancements, building mechanical and systems upgrades, and on-site solar installations, delivering improved efficiency, cost savings, and increased property values.

Connecting the “S” to Financial Metrics

Given our focus on resident care and experience, we partnered with the co-inventors of GRESB to develop a social scorecard that uses data to assess key social attributes. By analyzing how property amenities, resident programming, and health, wellness, and safety initiatives correlate with financial metrics like rent prices, occupancy, tenure, and NOI, we continue to refine our approach – expanding, adjusting, or scaling back initiatives based on data-driven insights.

Addressing Climate Risk & Resiliency

We proactively assess both physical and transition climate risk across our portfolio and where warranted define actionable steps to effectively manage and mitigate potential risks. We work with industry leading tools and vendors that complement our climate risk assessment processes.
