Co-Head of the US Investor Solutions Group
James Choi brings more than 17 years of industry experience to Harrison Street Asset Management. As Managing Director and Co-Head of the US Investor Solutions Group, James is responsible for business development and capital formation activities across the United States. He works closely with institutional investors and consultants and has played a key role in expanding the firm’s global investor relationships and fundraising efforts.
Prior to his current role, James served as Head of Investor Solutions Group – Asia, based in Tokyo, where he established Harrison Street’s presence in the Asia Pacific region and led capital raising efforts with institutional investors across APAC. Throughout his tenure with the firm, he has raised capital on behalf of Harrison Street’s real estate and infrastructure strategies from investors across North America and Asia Pacific. Earlier in his career at Harrison Street, he worked in portfolio management for the Harrison Street Core Property Fund, the firm’s open-end diversified real estate strategy focused on alternative sectors. Prior to joining Harrison Street Asset Management, James was with MSCI, where he focused on client consulting, business development, and product development.
James graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a BBA in Real Estate and Urban Land Economics and is a CFA charterholder.
